The Kingdom

Recently we started meeting weekly with the headmen of the village of Ngangula. Our focus is to ask a lot of questions and have them identify the issues facing the communities they lead. Once issues have been identified we try to highlight any cultural or tribal customs that might be contributing to such issues and then look to God's model of government as the mark to build towards. Working cross-culturally has highlighted the fact that all modern cultures have flaws and imperfections which lead to social issues. True peace and prosperity exist only within a society whose individuals collectively value the needs of others first and who are intentionally about living out honor and love towards those they encounter daily. That's the model found in the Kingdom of God and that's the end towards which we exist to achieve.

Back In The Saddle Again

Well it's been just under eight weeks since we arrived back in Zambia. Lots of new developments have taken place during our re-entry, including a new website & blog. Both have been designed to capture more of our day to day experiences and present a behind the scenes look at life in the African bush. Take a moment to check out the rest of our website - www.eleeoproject.org - to get the big picture of what we are up to here in Southern Zambia.

A New Home

Its finally done! After a lot of hours spent struggling power cuts, we are excited to launch the new home of our blog. Along with the development of a new Eleeo Project website, we are hoping to paint a little more color into the picture of whats going on with us. Would love to hear what you might like to hear about?
